ABOUT US
Soterias Medical was founded in 2014 as a company specializing in stem cell delivery devices. With the increasing use of stem cell therapies and treatments, there is a rapidly growing need for a medical device that delivers stem cells to accurate locations in the skin with minimal viability losses. Currently, the company is working on a dermal injector that will be used in clinical trials on novel stem cell therapies. Soterias Medical is a team of undergraduate students who are supported by the Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design at Johns Hopkins University as well as physicians at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
As a team of undergraduate students, we see our age as an advantage. We are taking design courses and learning about the newest medical advancements in the field. We are young, passionate, and eager to further our device. With the help of established and experienced physicians, design engineers, and business experts to guide our recently initialized team, our revolutionary design components will change the application of medical advancements.
