RESEARCH

“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.”

Albert Einstein

Recent advancements in stem cell therapies have shown the potential to revolutionize the treatment of many conditions. However, there is still a need to consistently and accurately deliver stem cells to target regions in the solid organs of the body—particularly the skin.  Skin stem cell therapies currently under investigation have the potential to reverse hair loss, heal wounds, and alter the phenotype of the epidermis.

TECHNOLOGY

“The science of today is the technology of tomorrow.”

Edward Teller

We have designed a device to deliver stem cells to the skin at adjustable depths and volumes as determined by the physician administering the treatment.  Stem cells will be frozen in cryobags that can be loaded directly into our device. Then they are thawed quickly by a heating element.  The injection depth and volume can be adjusted on the device. The physician can position the device against the skin region and press the injection button.  The stem cells will be moved by a peristaltic pump from the cryobag to the needle tip.  Our device will be instrumental in bringing stem cell therapies to patients.
